What Firostefani does best

Firostefani sits on the caldera rim just north of Fira, close enough that many people walk it, and it shares the KTEL corridor that KTEL prints as "Firostefani – Imerovigli". The bus is the answer when the heat or the climb makes the path unattractive.

The rim path from Fira

The caldera path runs through Firostefani on its way to Imerovigli, with the volcano islands in view for the whole stretch.

A quieter evening than Fira

The village keeps the same westward view as the capital with a fraction of the foot traffic, which is why sunset here is calmer.

Good to know

  • If you plan to walk one way and ride the other, note that the published return column is departures from the village, not arrival times from Fira.
  • The same bus continues to Imerovigli; check which stop you want before boarding.
