Fira for several different outings

Fira is the network’s practical hub. Starting here lets you choose a published destination corridor without first planning a bus back to Fira.

Kamari or Perissa for a beach-led stay

Consider a beach base if time by the sea is the main purpose. Trips elsewhere may need separate journeys through Fira; the two beaches have different corridors.

Oia or another village for time in that place

Choose the setting because you want to spend time there. Check its Fira corridor and return options before assuming it is a convenient base for several cross-island trips.

Treat a change in Fira as two journeys

Separate published corridors do not make a protected connection. Allow your own margin rather than assuming the next bus will wait.

  1. Check the first corridor in the direction towards Fira.
  2. Check the second corridor from Fira to your destination and choose your own transfer margin.
  3. Plan the return as separate departures too; an outward connection does not establish the reverse journey.

Late arrivals or a fixed departure

A flight, ferry or booking time is not a bus timetable. Confirm transport for that day before relying on a connection; keep another option if the published service does not fit.

The exact address or boarding point

A published destination corridor does not promise a stop at your accommodation. The checked sources do not provide a complete stop-by-stop route; check the actual boarding point and final approach.

A publication is not live operation

Listed departures do not guarantee seats or an on-time connection. Source disagreements and an incomplete validity calendar mean you still need to check current information.

  2. If the return changes in Fira, check both parts before committing to an evening plan.
